Hi everyone! I am really happy to share that I recently found out I was accepted to run the
2010 ING New York City Marathon!! This is a huge dream and I could have never imagined I would get the chance, or be strong enough or brave enough, to do this someday. But why wait another year, I thought... if it's a goal of mine, I shouldn't waste anytime accomplishing it.
I am running the 26.2 miles on
November 7th, 2010 on behalf of a great charity,
Back on My Feet. BOMF creates programs to help the homeless population regain confidence and self-sufficiency through running. It costs approximately $1,800 to put one homeless member through the program-- this includes sneakers and running apparel, team-building exercises, job placement assistance, and help with transitioning the member out of the shelter and into a permanent living situation. My goal is to raise $3,000 for Back on My Feet, helping nearly two people through the very worthwhile and innovative program.
Casey is clearly a huge inspiration for me to do this, as I am trying to take advantage of every day and act on my dreams.
If you are able to donate, no matter what amount, please visit my donation site here.

she thought I ran a marathon once when it was just a 5K.
I know it's months away at this point, but everyone is welcome to come up to NYC for the day to watch and be part of an event with so much energy and purpose!
THANK YOU for your support!!!
