Event Description
July 17th this year will be spent doing service work by many of us to honor Casey’s memory on this first anniversary of her passage into the spirit world.
Thus far, we have lined up Francisvale no-kill animal shelter in Radnor. The project will be painting the interior of their small building. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We need 25 people - 3 per room. They will have everything prepped and ready to go. A light breakfast as well as lunch, will be provided. When it is done, they will be hanging a plaque in their building referencing that the painting project was done in honor and memory of Casey.

You may donate items to Francisvale even if you are not attending. Items can be left at either the Thornton or Feldman homes. Click here for Francisvale’s wishlist on their website.
Other venues would also work for volunteer service, especially if you are not close to Radnor or live out of state. If this is the case, line something up in your area and we will post it here to assist in coordinating the volunteers.
Everyone is invited to the Feldman home at 7:00 p.m. for food to round out the day. So please RSVP for this as well! We will need a head count.

For those in the Springfield area volunteering with us at Francisvale, convene at our house for car pooling purposes in time to leave at 8:30 a.m. Once again, light refreshments upon arrival, lunch and a plaque dedication at noon as well as a brief history and introduction to Francisvale and optional tours of the facility at that time. We will be done and out by 3:00 pm.
Dinner at our house at 7:00 p.m., whether you have volunteered at Francisvale or not. Our address: 469 Ridge Lane, Springfield, Pa, 19064.

Scheduling for Francisvale is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Everyone must carpool since parking is extremely limited. All cars should be full. We can all proceed from our house or from the Thornton's.

Jamie and I will be volunteering our time walking dogs and tending to kitties at Beacon no-kill animal rescue. As the animal rescue is always in need of pet food, we are offering a bag of cat food and a bag of dog food and maybe throw in some kitty litter as well. We are looking forward to spending this day in 'the spirit of Casey.' And, we'll see everyone later at Casey's in Springfield.

Jay and I will be doing volunteer work for mom and dad on the 17th. We plan to mow their lawn, reach and clean mom's copper pieces in the kitchen, and any other odd jobs they would like. We plan also if we can fit it in to help Melissa with some chores around the house that she can't get to because of the 2 kids. We will be up int evening and looking forward to spending time with all. We will also bring mom and dad.

What a great way to honor Casey!! I will be working but my heart and thoughts will be with Janice and Jamie as they volunteer at our local animal "no-kill" shelter. And we will be coming to Springfield later in the evening to see everyone and see how everyone's day of volunteering turned out.

I'm still in Virginia, so I'll be unable to attend the Francisvale Event. However, I plan on spending the day at a doggy adoptathon at the ocean front in Virginia Beach. We have little "adopt me" vests for a bunch of dogs, and we'll walk them along the boardwalk.

We will need 25 people at Francisvale on the 17th. The job will be painting the interior of their small building. They will have everything prepped and ready to go. They will have 3 people working in each room. The hours will be mid morning to mid afternoon. They will be putting up some kind of plaque when the painting is done, referencing that it was done in honor of Casey. We need to let them know by July 3rd whether or not we will have 25 people. If not, they will send out a message recruiting their own Board members to complete the group. So, we need rsvp's!! Lunch will be provided and Mr. Feldman and I will have all volunteers at our house in the evening for food. We will need an rsvp on that as well so that we have a head count
