I love the photo of Kadence in front of Casey's tree in OC. I think she looks like Casey when Casey was her age.

We took Kadence down to OC last night for her first time on the rides. She had a ball! On our way back down the boardwalk at the end of our evening, we were coming up on Bobs Grille when Kadence spotted the Pink Tree. She ran over to it yelling "It's Casey's Tree!!" So we stopped to look and have our picture taken. What a special way to end our night!

Just took another look at the photo of the Feldman family reunion---such a nice pic! I was struck by the placement of Casey's pic---right next to her mom--how sweet. That's probably where Casey would have placed herself.

Saturday's day of volunteer service sure was a great way to remember Casey: doing what she would have been doing and what she was so deeply committed to.
The get-together afterwards was also one of the nicest expressions of love and fellowship we could have been part of---thanks, Di and Joel for that opportunity. The balloon release was the capstone of the evening: a marvelous tribute that made for a warm memory. The entire day was touching and personally made me proud to emulate the beautiful example who has taught me the value of volunteering.

when Jay finished work last Thursday afternoon we took Kadence to the beach. She was intrigued by all the pictures hanging on the wall. We talked about all the pictures. When she saw the picture of Casey and Jamie she wanted to know where that girl is (meaning Casey ). Jay and I explained to her about Casey's accident.We said she is know in heaven. Kadence replied I love her, and I'll see her tomorrow. Jay and I just said of course, you will see her tomorrow. While we were getting her cleaned up from the beach she wanted to know where all the people were. We said what people? Kadence said Uncle Brett, Uncle Janice, and Uncle Dianne. She wanted them to come over. I told her she would be seeing all the people soon. She seemed to be satisfied for the moment. It is amazing what little ones remember. Even though she is only two, she will remember Casey and all the family members.

Just saw the Feldman reunion photo. What a great picture. Donald did a good job putting Casey in the picture. I am sure that it will be a treasured photo for all the Feldmans. Also I just loved the shirts. He reminds me of the photo the Andersons had at the beach , the one where Casey was with us. That is a picture that we Andersons will cherish.

I see my niece in the picture! Don't know exactly how that got past me. And she in the perfect spot---right next to her mother and not far from her father. Thank Joel's uncle for me for adding Casey to the group picture. I am sure Casey was with you when this picture was taken, so it seems appropriate that she receive her rightful place among her parents, brother, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Yes! I remember meeting Natalie when Milt and Gilda hosted a pre-nuptual party for your and Joel. Natalie is still a beautiful woman. Great idea to have the pic on the shirts of those responsible for this family and this happy gathering.

The picture on the shirt is of Joel's grandparents and their 3 sons, Gene, Milt and Hy. Hy is in the reunion picture behind and to the left of Brett. The red headed woman in the row behind the young ones is Natalie, Gene's wife.
