Henry Gibson, Casey's high school friend and fellow Springfield Theatre Workshop member, performed in many high school theatre productions with Casey. He is now a sophomore Theatre major at DeSales University and secured the part of Lenny in "Of Mice and Men". Henry dedicated his performance to Casey. Casey no doubt was proud of Henry's outstanding performance in this classic story by John Steinbeck! Way to go Henry!
Henry said that when he auditioned for the part, he intended to, but accidentally forgot to take off his pink "Casey bracelet". When he got the part, he felt that Casey had been with him and brought him good luck!

Please see the newest theatre event that has been posted, "Of Mice and Men"! Casey's high school theatre friend, Henry Gibson, has the starring role - Lenny! Henry wore his pink bracelet when he auditioned for the part. Maybe he had a little help from Casey! Henry will be dedicating his performances to Casey's memory. Thank you Henry. Come out and watch Henry in this fabulous production at DeSales University.

For those who don't know Henry, he is in the group picture above from the Cappies Awards. He is standing behind and slightly to the right of Kasey Borbidge (tan and broad face).

Thanks everyone who was involved in the "Pink Performance" memorial tribute to Casey on Nov, 20th. It was a beautiful recognition of her theatre life at SHS and could not have been more perfect. John Guildea, the current and former cast, and Casey's friends and loved ones, I am sure that Casey was proudly smiling down upon us all that night.

I signed the petition Matt and forwarded it onto a number of other people from my address book. Thanks for letting us know about this!

In addition to supporting local theater, there is a national organization called The Cappies, which is a student collaboration of journalists and theater arts students. This program encourages one play each year to be nominated in participating schools. All Cappies critics, who are student journalists, get to review a performance of the show and critique it. These reviews are then published in prominent local newspapers. However, the Washington Post, newspaper of the founding branch of Cappies, is threatening to remove coverage of the Cappies. If you can take the time, please sign the petition online to stop the post from making this mistake:
