Thanks for the welcome. I actually didn't meet Casey until after I graduated from Fordham. Meaghan Dillon introduced us. I was the "convent boy." I lived across the street from Fordham in St. Paul's empty convent for a few months this past winter/spring. Casey loved the look of the building and took lots of pictures of it for her photography class.----Jack
Hi Diane,
Thanks for your warm welcome. It is our pleasure to get to know your family. You are all an inspiration to so many and for many reasons. We look forward to a long-lasting friendship. See you on your next trip out. Stay warm. Love, Fred & Andrea
I'm sorry to hear about your dad but I'm glad the occupational therapists were able to help! Please know that you and the rest of your family are in my prayers each day but especially now as the holiday's approach. I love the pillows you all made...there's no doubt Casey is smiling down too and loves them just as much.
aw thank you!! she's still confused and nervous about her new situation, probably will take a week or so until she realizes this is her "forever" home and feels comfortable. she is a cutie, though, and probably liking NJ much better than Puerto Rico :) miss you!!
Hi Dianne,
Was just thinking about you. Hoping you are doing alright. Would love to see you.
Call me, if you get a chance (610)986-7006.... With love, Stacey
Hi Mrs. Feldman! That was so nice of you to write to me. Yes, I knew Casey from high school..I started to get to know her my sophomore (her junior) year through mutual friends and school. She was always a shining face among students at shs and has certainly become an inspiration to us all. I'm at Temple now and am going for occupational therapy - can be stressful at times but hopefully in the end will be worth it. Hope you're doing well and I hope to see you sometime soon!
i love the pictures from Mr.F's law firm! I love that the pillows donated were in Casey's name that's so beautiful. I am sure so many are grateful to have received them. Also amazing find on the pink christmas tree..I think Ill get one for my room. See you Tuesday!
Nancy and I are doing charitable things this Christmas instead of exchanging gifts. She will be donating to one of Casey's animal causes instead of exchanging gifts with her friends - I told my sons to donate also instead of buying me a gift - we are donating to a family whose husband is dying of cancer so that they can purchase some food - I give some gifts to some young children at church who have sort of adopted me as Aunt Rachael. I bake for some who have no one to bake for them - all of this in memory of Casey - and then our church sponsors the Genesis Pregnancy Center in Pottstown, so there will be gift requests on a special tree at church. If it is up on Sunday, I will show it to you. Christmas is all about Jesus and not about gifts. He is our gift.
Thanks for your comment! I met Casey during summer orientation (with Brooke), but unfortunately never got to know her well. I have always wanted to run the marathon, but I kept putting it off. One day I was looking at this page, admiring all the things that Casey had accomplished in her 21 years, and I decided that I would have to push myself to live life to the fullest. So I signed up for the marathon! Brooke encouraged me to join the network, and I'm so glad I did. Casey is truly an inspiration, and I will always remember the time we spent together in our early Fordham days.
Hi Dianne,
As promised, Matt helped me navigate and join the sight. The sights definitely keep Casey's memory a part of so many people. I see and know the many good things Casey did throughout her life and know that many more good things will be done in her honor.
The "Pink Performance" was a special evening; I am so glad to have been a part of it.
Hello Diane!!!
I am so glad you like the bumper magnets!
It was perfect timing! Looks like it was a special night in honor of Casey!
Thinking of you guys often!
Would love to plan a night for you to come over for pizza!
BIG XO!
I know you and I met very briefly long ago. I feel in the sadness of Casey's passing I know you and Joel very well. I hope you understand when I say the loss of Casey has brought much hope and renewal to many things...friendships, personal realizations of what is important, and the power to do better...the great wake up call for all of us. Shortly after Casey's passing I took a trip down the Grand Canyon with my 2 nieces. Everything was different about that trip because of your daughter who I have never met...but in a rugged campsite hugging my own 2 beauties Casey was with us in a sky filled with stars and se were blessed.
Love Susan
Hi Di, I joined the 'Support Local Theater' group. This seems to fit really well. I'm on the board at the Olney Theatre here in MD, and I love it! p.s. we have a similar problem with the Post these days ... but they'll come around
No problem! I keep finding more and more good photos! I actually started to put some up on the site in the categories i thought they best fit, I just need to work on the captions! Hope you had a great thanksgiving and hope to see you soon :)
Thank you, Dianne. Hope you are enjoying your friends and family today. Our family (the DC subsidiary) will be getting together shortly. Headquarters is still in Philly!
Thanks for telling me about the sites. They are such a beautiful dedication to Casey, a great place for all the people who miss her and think about her every day. I saw that it was your birthday today on Facebook - Happy Birthday! I hope you get the chance to do something that makes you smile :)
Hi Di, thanks for the welcome! I'll enjoy scouting out the site, and learning more of how Casey continues to impact our world. I'm guessing today is your birthday? Happy Birthday! I've got one tomorrow, but I forgot which one it is. ;-)
