Wow! It sounds like you were extremely fortunate. So happy to hear that the doctors expect a full recovery. I am sure that you have been counting your blessings. How did it happen? Was it daylight? What is the story with the driver?
Hello Elise. Sorry I didn't get back to you a bit sooner. We were on vacation in CO visiting our son Brett (Casey's brother), who is a student at the University of Colorado.
So sorry to hear about your accident. Were you badly injured? Have you made a complete recovery? It is great that awareness has been raised in your community. That is a direct positive result of your unfortunate accident. You will never know how many lives have ben saved as a result.
Thank for your thoughts and prayers and look forward to know you through this site.
Welcome Elise. I am Casey's aunt and want to welcome you to my niece's website. Casey's parents have done an incredible job with the website and it is people such as yourself who help to remind drivers and pedestrians of the shared responsibilities of staying focused while driving/walking our streets. Casey's story is indeed a tragic one: an eduring and egregious loss for all who knew her. In spite of her doing everything correctly: and in accordance with the law and common sense, her life was lost to a driver's brief moment of distraction. Through this website and through pedestrain safety campaigns, Casey continues to give of herself even today. Thank you for joining.

Hello Elise. I am Casey Feldman's mother. Thank you so much for joining our site! I am always both humbled and thrilled when we get a new member. I see that you read about Casey in Seventeen Magazine . If you would like to view photos from the pedestrian safety week and benefit concert mentioned in the article, they may be viewed in the photo gallery of the Memories website.
As you learn to navigate your way around this site, take note that on the homepage on the right hand side, there is an, "In the News" section which is updated regularly, and on the left hand side, the “Latest Activity” is displayed. The most recent events and forum discussions are listed on the home page, with a “view all” tab, which enables you to see the entire listing. Of course, any site members may initiate a discussion or schedule an event. All members are also free to join any groups and participate in discussions within that group.
Also, we have two other websites, CaseyFeldmanMemories.org (which contains the photo gallery which I previously mentioned) and CaseyFeldmanFoundation.org. On the Memories site, you can view the memories of others, as well as photographs, videos, Casey’s writings and more. The Foundation site includes information about scholarships and scholarship recipients, fundraising events, the charities which have benefited and more. There is a “News and Updates” blog on the Foundation site which includes newsworthy items related to all three sites. All three sites may be accessed simply through CaseyFeldman.com.
Thanks once again! I look forward to your participation in our Network!
